     About Lawrence D. Goldberg:

 

Lawrence D. Goldberg began his rare coins career in 1981, working for Bowers and Ruddy Galleries in Hollywood, California -- at the time the largest rare coin company in the world. In 1991 he founded Customized Numismatic Portfolios, Inc. and continues as its president to this day.

He is an authorized dealer for the Professional Coin Grading Service, the Numismatic Guarantee Corporation, and Certified Acceptance Corporation, and an associate member of the Professional Numismatists' Guild.

Since 2001 he's written and published his thrice annual Rare Coin Report Newsletter. His latest book is What Color Are Your Assets: An Insider's Guide to Rare Coins and Precious Metals.

He has distributed video interviews of Ayn Rand, wrote the ebook Balance Transfer Magic to teach people how to manage credit and debt, and helped raise money to build a new outdoor stage for the Independent Shakespeare Company of Los Angeles.

In the 1980s he was a member of the California Libertarian Party and a guest editorialist on KNX news radio in Los Angeles. He has a B.A. in literature, with minors in drama and political science, from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa.
