Angela McArdle is the Libertarian Party's nominee for the 34th Congressional District seat in the upcoming special election on April 4, 2017. The 34th C.D. had been occupied by Democrat Xavier Becerra, until Governor Brown nominated him to be California's new attorney general, following Kamala Harris's election to the U.S Senate. Becerra has since resigned his Congressional seat, creating this vacancy.
